Today was a day. Get my sister off to her day program, get to work, get to the store to buy birthday gifts for five of our six grandchildren (all within one month), one more stop to get my sister a smoothie and, almost 12 hours later, finally home. That was my direction for the day.

It wasn’t a bad day, just a long one.

I couldn’t wait to get home, unpack, eat something, go to our bedroom and close the door, write this piece, and sleep.

When I lay my head on my pillow, in just a few minutes, I’ll end this day as I often do.

I’ll close my eyes and say these words:

In peace I will both lie down and sleep,
For You alone, O Lord, make me to dwell in safety. (Psalm 4:8, NASB)

Good night.
This is the October writing challenge from Five Minute Friday. The plan is to successfully post everyday. We write for five minutes (unedited and that’s a challenge) and stop. Visit FMF to see more posts.
