Day 9 of the Write 28 Days Blogging Challenge . Participants choose a category, in which to concentrate throughout the challenge and the host provides a daily writing prompt. The prompt for today is SUPPOSE.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. (NASB)
Just suppose you set fear by the side of the road, no kicked it to the curb, and started full-out trusting God. What could happen?
Just suppose, if you are a believer and you embraced the power of the Holy Spirit within you (Acts 1:8). What could happen? Maybe you step out in sharing your faith and someone elses life is changed (Acts 4:31).
Just suppose, if you are not a believer and today you decided to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. What could happen? You now have access to the Father in heaven, through the Holy Spirit who will help you every second of your earthly life (John 14:26) to become a new person (Ephes 4:24, Col 3:1-10), sanctified (1 John 1:9) in Christ. You are born again (1 Peter 1:3). You now have a place in heaven waiting for you (John 14:1-3). You will never be alone again (Joshua 1:9). You are loved. You are chosen. This happens only through a heart of faith, not working hard to be worthy of impress (Ephes 2:8-9). All you need do is believe. No one can undo what’s happened. No one can pluck you out of His hand (John 10:28-29).
If you haven’t accepted Jesus as you savior yet, you can right now. He’s been waiting for you (Matt 7:7, Rev 3:20). Just talk to Him. If you can’t find your own words you can say this prayer and your life will never be the same.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need you in my life. Be my Lord and Savior. I believe that You were born of a virgin. I believe that You died for me and forgave all my sins, past, present, and future. I trust you with my life, help me to live it close to You. I believe God raised You from the dead, that You ascended into heaven and that I will be there with You. And I believe that you will come again. Thank you, Lord. Amen
Now it’s time to open your bible and start building a relationship with Jesus. Get into a bible-based church family.
Just suppose what could happen?
