Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
No, no, no…I don’t want to wait. I know I can do it now.
I’ve been told not to pray for patience because that’s when the trial really pile up.
Stamina, endurance, stick-to-it-iveness, hmm…that’s a good one.
Merriam-Websters says stick-to-it-iveness means dogged perseverance or tenacity.
I like that, I want to be tenacious for what God wants me to be, for what He wants me to do.
That means I have to wait and work while waiting. Work to prepare, acquire skills, hone the craft I believe He put in my heart to pursue.
When will be it ready? When will it be good enough? When will I be good enough?
When?
He says I am good enough. He says I am strong. He says I am His (John 17:24). He says all things are possible through Christ (Phil 4:13).
So, I’ll be tenacious. I’ll take courage. I’ll be strong. I’ll prepare. I’ll be ready when He says so.
