Billy Graham led me to Christ during a TV crusade in 2002.
I always believed in Jesus and believe I would be in heaven someday, but I didn’t really know exactly what that meant. I knew who Jesus was. I prayed. I was also lost, not connected, searching. I was actually searching for a church we could call home. Every weekend, it seemed, I dragged the family to a new church. I needed something. I needed Jesus.
That night, in my family room with my arms around my young son, I said the prayer and accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I talked to my little boy about Jesus and knew, for the first time, that I was loved despite myself. In that moment, I knew everything would be alright.
By Christmas in that same year, we found a church in our own neighborhood and have attended ever since. My young son is now 20 years old and plays piano on the Worship Team there. He started taking piano lessons from an acquaintance in our church family and is now pursuing a music degree and doing well.
Jesus, thank you for using Billy Graham to lead me, and so many others, to You.
