Hello Friend,

Today let’s praise the God of our Exceeding Joy. His name is El Simchath Gili.

Lord, thank you for the beautiful and powerful creation you allow us to inhabit. Today we praise you for your creativity and generosity. Your wonders are many and great. And You are showing them to us in personal and memorable ways, building a testimony to your faithfulness.Slow Down Peach color rosebud

You, El Simchath Gili, are our exceeding joy. Words cannot express the joy of being in your presence, and we are grateful.

Prayer

Lord, keep us motivated for each new day. Would you please give us joy in our hearts, rest when we need it, peace in Your Spirit, and hope for each new day? We take these blessings for granted all too often, not realizing how significant joy, rest, peace, and hope are until we don’t have them. You, Lord, are the fount of every one of our blessings. El Simchath Gili, help us be content with all forms of your sweet provision and joyful in Your presence. We thank you and praise your name, God of our Exceeding Joy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Psalm 43:3-5

Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Come thou fount of every blessing
Tune my heart to sing thy grace
Streams of mercy never ceasing
Call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet
Sung by flaming tongues above
I’ll praise the mount I’m fixed upon it
Mount of thy redeeming love

Here I raise my Ebenezer
Hither by thy help, I come
And I hope by thy good pleasure
Safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought me when a stranger
Wondering from the fold of God
He, to rescue me from danger
Interposed His precious blood

O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be!
Let thy goodness like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to thee
Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it, seal it for thy courts above

Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Take care, my friend,

Suzette
