Well, we woke up this morning, and nothing has changed. Not yet, anyway. In the days ahead, we may see the change some of us are longing for, but one dreaded by others. Is that the critical focus of your day?
I wonder if there isn’t something more important.
Look, leaders come and go, but we’re still here. So, I’m asking the Lord to create in me a pure heart (Psalm 51:10). Please help me handle with kindness the comments I’m bound to hear in the days ahead. A dear friend of mine often says it’s all in our response. Even better yet, let that response be silence. Take control of what I say, LORD (Psalm 141: 3). More of us could sure use that.
The days ahead will be challenging, no doubt, but God can handle it.
The best news I could find today, and the only sure thing is that God doesn’t change. He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8). In Him, we have peace in all circumstances (2 Thessalonians 3:16). Why not place your trust in Him?
BONUS! Regardless of who wins the Whitehouse, God is still in charge. He knows what the days ahead hold and, guess what? He’s not worried.
Let’s go with that truth and call it a day. God’s got this!
Today I’m posting in the Five Minute Friday link-up, where we free-write to a single word prompt for five minutes. Today the prompt is AHEAD.
Indeed God does have this! I totally agree with you. We as a people will be fine. We live in an amazing country and God is always going to reign. He will reign in the hearts and lives of many. May I be a light in this world. Amen.

If each one of us is His light, we can drive out darkness together in Jesus’ strength. I’m so happy you came by for a visit.
Amen! Most certainly a timely reminder!
Hi Linda. Thanks for your encouragement. I hope I remember my own reminder.
Amen, so wonderfully spoken. Love your insights, thank you for sharing your encouraging words.. Blessings. Visit from FMF #11
Thank you, Paula. Sometimes I have to take a breath to remember it’s not my battle. In that split second the thought passes and silence is the best response. I love the way God works!
