My Concrete Dove
Making your caregiving life just a little bit easier.
Start: What’s the Big Deal?
Why is getting started on anything such a big deal?
Begin Again
My last post was a challenge to get moving because we all have kingdom assignments. It was stronger than encouragement but not quite a rebuke to those of us that can’t seem to move forward. We all have our challenges. The good news is that God allows us all a fresh start again and again.
Are You Willing to Follow Through?
During that time of waiting, Timothy learned that follow through matters. He had to follow through in diligence, keeping up with his school work and chores to show his parents he wasn’t only willing but ready for the responsibility. From his parents, he learned how to make and keep a promise; how to follow through in love..
He Said I Promise
In 1984 I was a 26-year-old mother of three, in debt and living in low-income housing. I remember lying on my second-hand couch full of anxiety and praying, “Lord please help me. Help me and I promise I’ll start going to church.”
My Place
I have a place in Christ, over which no man has control and no job can compare.
NOW, it’s up to me to live in the truth of who I am.
Is This Enough?
When is it ever enough? Is your it status-related like income, bank account, job title, respect of others, even your position at church? Is your it appearance-related like diet, exercise, make up, a closet full of clothes that make you look thinner, younger or sexier, and don’t forget the shoes? The it we’re chasing may even shift over time depending on circumstances and people around us. It that a fair observation?
