“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19
Many of us are painting, cleaning closets, trying new recipes, or rearranging the furniture. We’re doing new things in our homes. I’m using some of this time to make a few (or many) renovations on the blog. I guess this is what happens when you’re home for more than a weekend.
I believe God is also doing new things in our homes and our hearts. Trust Him to make a way through. This time the way is unfamiliar. Trust Him. Move forward courageously. On the other side of this pandemic, we may all live life differently. I hope that’s true. That our priorities shift toward Jesus. That many are drawn to Him and stay near Him into eternity.
I’ll continue posting in the dust because I’m not great at the tech and this could take a while. But that doesn’t matter because well, you know, I’ll probably have enough time at home to get this done. There may even be some leftover to clear out a closet or two.
Lord, Helps us to see that you are in control. That you are with us in the midst of every trial. Lord, I pray that during this time many who don’t know you yet will be drawn to you. We know that those who seek will find You. We know that You are waiting at the door for them with arms wide open. I lift my friends up to you today, along with our medical and law enforcement community, and essential workers who stand in the midst of this trial daily. Lord, keep them and their families safe and give them renewed energy and Your peace in their daily work. Comfort our fears with your calm assurance and lovingkindness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Stay home and stay safe everyone!
