Go –

Psalm 32:8  I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. (NIV)

I am always the navigator on family vacations. I was a girl scout from Brownies through Seniors and I suppose that is where I learned how to read a map and use a compass. Now, I just punch the destination into my navigation system and the car reads the map for me, and I follow.

God already has our destination in mind and He’s promised to show us the way, we just have to follow.  When the Holy Spirit stirs within and we feel that conviction of sin, don’t let your bones grow weary, as David did (Ps 32:3-4). Go to the Lord in prayer, confession, and repentance. He forgives and restores us. He will instruct you and counsel you through His word. Build that relationship with Him and you WILL feel His loving eye upon you.

There are many more places in the bible where we are told to trust Him, and more promises of instruction and protection. This is one of my favorites:

Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (NASB)

Get on the path He’s already laid out for you. He knows how to get us where we need to go.

Stop –

This is the October writing challenge from Five Minute Friday. The plan is to successfully post everyday. We write for five minutes (unedited and that’s a challenge) and stop. Visit FMF to see more posts.
