31 DAYS OF SEEKING SELF-CARE
Discovering Self-Care & Enjoying Respite

This was such a fun thing to do! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, but more importantly, I hope you found encouragement and true benefit for having participated. I am honored by all who did.

The goal of the 31 Days event is to explore self-care and discover what works best for you to develop a habit of self-care for the months & years ahead. The calendar (link below) can be used at any time. Here are a few examples of what we accomplished.

Over the month of May, we:
⭐️Started at five minutes a day and then increased to twenty minutes a day.
⭐️Prayed
⭐️Practiced mindfulness
⭐️Got outdoors
⭐️Had a manicure
⭐️Focused on Hope
⭐️Meditated
⭐️Incorporated movement through walking, stretching, pilates, stretching, and HIIT
⭐️Read
⭐️Gratitude
⭐️Tried journaling
⭐️Tapped into our creative side
⭐️Learned to rest on Sunday

🌟🌟🌟 If you did any of these activities, you get a gold star today.

Screen-free Sundays may be my favorite so far. What was yours?

Caregiver friend, we haven’t scratched the surface yet. We didn’t talk about sleep, hydration, diet, or social interaction, to name a few. So, self-care for caregivers will be a continuing theme on my feed and blog, but probably not daily.

In the meantime be sure to take care of yourself. It will make your caregiving life just a little bit easier.
